Food: Carved Turkey Sandwich – $16
Dessert: The Master’s Cupcake – $5
As the Mouse Memos resident Beauty and the Beast lover, this was obviously not my first time dining at the Be Our Guest Restaurant. Lunch quite possibly may be my favorite seating at the restaurant.
By the time our reservation rolls around, my eyes are usually bigger than my stomach. On previous occasions, I ordered a soup, entree and dessert. Since the portion sizes are quite large, I end up feeling over full and yucky. My personal recommendation would be to choose either a soup or an entree and definitely, definitely save room for dessert.
My favorite entree, hands down, is the Carved Turkey Sandwich. Warm carved turkey served on fresh baguette with arugula, dijon mayonnaise and pomme frites (a fancy word for french fries).
I always ask for the dijon mayonnaise on the side. This prevents the baguette from getting soggy and you can also moderate the amount of condiment on the sandwich.
In the past every time I’ve gotten this sandwich, the pomme frites are very over salty. This time however, they were not. I was pleasantly surprised.
My next course was the Master’s Cupcake. A dark chocolate cupcake, filled and topped with the famous grey stuff as icing. I always seem to find myself digging into the icing first. The grey stuff is that delicious. This cupcake always has me considering buying a dozen to save for later on.
Overall my lunch completely hit the spot and left me looking forward to the next time we can dine at the Be Our Guest Restaurant.
