The new restaurant at the Japan Pavilion will be called Takumi-Tei. The name means ‘house of the artisan,’ and the restaurant will be an upscale dining experience with a menu that highlights Japanese wagyu beef. Other dining highlights include a tasting menu with multiple courses, traditional Japanese tea service, premium Sake, and signature cocktails.
As seen in the Artist Concept of the Water Room above, Takumi-Tei will create a blend of nature and upscale dining.
Takumi-Tei will join the current Japan Pavilion restaurants Tokyo Dining, Teppan Edo, and the quick-service spot Katsura Grill. It will be operated by Mitsukoshi USA, which is currently responsible for much of the dining and shopping in the Japan Pavilion.
We’re fairly excited about this new dining option for the Japan Pavilion, especially hearing that it will have a summer opening. It will be great to get away from the summertime sun attacks and dig into some new food options from one of our favorite Epcot Pavilions.
